Ingredients
Scale
For the Cauliflower
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets (about 4 cups)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
For the Buffalo Sauce
- 3 tablespoons dairy free butter
- ½ cup hot sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
For the Cauliflower
- Pre-heat your air fryer to 375 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the almond milk, flour, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
- Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, making sure to let any excess drip off.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and place the cauliflower in the air fryer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for 14-16 minutes, or until the cauliflower is crisp and golden brown.
- Remove the cauliflower from the air fryer, and let it cool for a few minutes (2-3 minutes) before saucing.
For the Buffalo Sauce
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
- Turn off the heat and add the hot sauce and garlic powder. Whisk until combined and warmed. Set it aside to cool for a few minutes (2-3 minutes).
- Place the cauliflower and buffalo sauce in a large bowl and toss to combine. Serve immediately.
Notes
*A great hot sauce for this recipe is Frank’s Red Hot.
*For an extra crunch, sprinkle over 1/4 cup of Panko breadcrumbs after battering the cauliflower, but before frying them.
