Perfect Instant Pot Basmati Rice

  • 1 cup of Basmati rice, rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place the rinsed rice and water into the instant pot, close the lid, and set the instant pot valve to seal.
  2. Set it to manual HIGH pressure for 8 minutes and wait. It’ll take the Instant Pot a while to pressurize before the 8 minute countdown begins.
  3. Once done, quick release the pressure. Fluff the rice with a fork, season with salt and pepper, and ENJOY!
