Tempeh 101 & How to Cook It

Why you'll LOVE IT:

Tempeh is a delicious HIGH PROTEIN food that's fully vegan and a great (natural!) meat substitute! And it's easy to cook!

WHAT is tempeh?: Tempeh is a plant based protein source that is made from fermented soybeans. It has a firm texture that can easily be sliced or even crumbled.

Tempeh v Tofu: While tofu is made from coagulated soy milk, tempeh is made up of whole fermented soybeans that are then pressed tightly into a compacted bar.

Tempeh Nutrition per serving: 18g of protein 12g of carbs 4.5g of total fat

How to cook it: there are actually a lot of different ways to prepare tempeh with the most popular ones being baked or pan fried

First you'll want to marinate the tempeh for maximum flavor (swipe up for my favorite marinade!)

Then you can: Bake for 15-20 mins Pan Fry for 10-12 mins Air Fry for 12-15 mins
