HERE is the original video of this super simple and fun tiktok trend (that I’m admittedly a little late to try!).

I tried the recipe with a slice of provolone cheese but I’ve seen others using different cheese and even some trying it with shredded cheese which seems to work just as well!

The KEY to this recipe is letting the cheese cook for longer than you’d think AND cooking it over LOW low heat. On my gas stovetop, I turn the heat down as low as it’ll go and let the slice of cheese cook for about 5 minutes before adding in the pickle.

Then you just cook it for 1 more minute before transferring it to a paper towel lined plate to absorb the excess grease.

You should definitely give this a try! It’s so simple and a deliciously SALTY snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 slice cheese, I used provolone
  • 1 pickle spear

Instructions

  • In a medium non-stick skillet, place your slice of cheese in the middle (no need to grease the skillet). Turn the heat to LOW (for my gas stove, I put it on the lowest heat possible). Let it cook for 4-5 minutes until the cheese has browned all around the edges.
  • Place the pickle spear in the middle and using a spatula, wrap the cheese around the sides of the pickle. Cook for 1 additional minute and remove to a paper towel lined plate.
  • Let cool for a couple of minutes so the cheese can harden fully. ENJOY!

Notes

You could also use shredded cheese
