Orange Ginger Juice

I read somewhere a few weeks ago that if you drink cold orange juice, the combination of sugar + cold makes your baby squirm. I’ve been trying this every few days since then and so far nothing. I know it’s coming soon though :) Until then, I’ll just keep drinking ALL of the orange juice around.

Lately I’ve started making my own orange juice and sometime with a little bit of a kick (this one has a lot of a kick honestly). Today we’re adding in carrot, lemon, ginger, and a bit or turmeric to our orange juice. This is orange juice for people who want to feel extra fancy and maybe a little hipster? I never know if I’m using that word properly.

Orange Ginger Juice

This recipe is very adaptable. I first tried it without the lemon but have since decided that I LOVE it with the lemon juice in there. You can also easily make it without the carrots. This will result in just ONE serving of juice OR you can double all of the ingredients (minus the carrot) to result in 2 servings of the juice.

If you’re like me then you don’t get your juicer out nearly as much as you should. In all honesty, I’m more of a smoothie girl (oh hey daily green smoothie that I never get sick of!). But, every once in a while I just really crave a good juice. I’ve also found it a great way to use up extra fruits and veggies before they go bad. Tomatoes and old cucumbers go to the chickens but there are certain things that they aren’t as keen on such as oranges and carrots. Those go in my juices :)

Ginger is the thing that I have been putting in ALL of my juices lately. I’m completely obsessed with it and LOVE the tangy spiciness that it provides. YUM!!

Orange Ginger Juice

I hope you have yourself a big glass of juice and enjoy this weekend that is SO CLOSE!! :) Happy Friday!

Here in Morocco orange carrot and ginger juice is weirdly on like EVERY cafe menu! I had no idea it was a thing until coming here. It’s so refreshing, and I love your take on it with a bit of turmeric and lemon :) xo
