This simple Rainbow Bundt Cake is SO simple to make and so fun to serve! It’s always a crowd pleaser and especially fun for kids.

We’re celebrating pride month with week 2 of rainbow recipes and this week it’s this super simple but delicious and SO FUN Rainbow Bundt Cake!

We’re keeping it very basic and using a cake box mix for this one! But, THIS white cake recipe is one of my favorites as well!

To make the recipe, you simply prepare the box cake mix according to package directions and then divide the batter into 6 even portions.

I used THIS gel food coloring but other food gels would work as well.

I went around with a few different types of food dye for this recipe but decided that GEL FOOD coloring was ultimately the best for this cake. It results in a very vibrant color and is relatively easy to mix into the dough.

Simple to make Rainbow Bundt Cake!

  • 1 yellow/ white cake box mix (plus the ingredients called for on the box)
  • various colors of gel food coloring

  1. Make the cake batter according to package directions and pre-heat the oven.
  2. Divide the batter equally among 6 small bowls* (I like to use a kitchen scale to get the amount of batter in each bowl roughly the same). Add in a few drops of the different food coloring to the different bowls so that you have 6 different colors of cake batter.
  3. Starting with one color, pour in one color of the batter to the bottom of your greased bundt pan. Gently pour the second color on top of the first doing your best not to let the colors mix together too much. Repeat with the remaining colors. If you’re doing a classic rainbow, you want to start with red and then orange, yellow, green, blue and purple last.
  4. Place in the oven and bake according to package directions. Let cool and ENJOY!

*I made 6 different colors but you could obviously do more or less depending on what colors you’d like to use
